Kangaroos or KangaROOS were born in 1979, when Bob Gam, an American architect who liked jogging struggled to find a place to keep his keys and change whilst running. His problem led to a design trainer with a small zippered pocket. He called the trainers kangaROOS. KangaROOS have grown from a USA sports brand focused mainly on American football, Basketball and Baseball to one of the trendiest brands about. The summer of 2006 saw UK actress and presenter Nikki Sanderson (who played Candice in Coronation Street) lending her support to become the face of the iconic brand as part of their nationwide campaign.
